The "Golden Babes" in Bethlehem all left some "gold" in the store there, that's for sure!

The best view of Old Jerusalem is found at the top of the mount of Olives (and not just because of the golden babes in the picture). So was the best guide in all of Israel. . . Pilar you ROCK!!!!!

So on day 5 of 6, at the entrance of the Mount of Olives, Merri can't stand it anymore and has to get me a selfie stick so that we don't have to keep bugging everyone in the tour to take our pic! Thanks Mer!

And when they had sung a hymn (after the Last Supper) they went out to the Mount of Olives. Mark 14:26

Next, we entered the Garden of Gethsamane where Jesus . . .

Where Jesus prayed, "Father if you are willing, take this cup from me. Yet not my will, but yours be done."

Yes! Beth is in Bethlehem!!!!!!!!

This is "Manger square" that is packed on Christmas Eve with people who make a pilgrimage to the Holy Church (behind). Merri was enjoying herself until she spotted . . .

STARBUCKS!!!! Poor Merri has been dying for a cup or three of American coffee and we just didn't have time to oblige her!

This is the entrance to where Jesus was born. You have to go through a "humility door." Do you think I will make it?

Thankfully I made it through and got to see the manger where they believe Mary placed the baby Jesus.

We ended the day with the second best view of Old Jerusalem and the best view of one of my favorite "Babes", Kari! Til tomorrow, Shalom!

Ok, so maybe it's more like the "Golden Babes" in Bethlehem, but today the "Golden Babes" sure had fun exploring where THE BABE was born! Come along as we start at the Mount of Olives and end in Bethlehem, where it all really began!
